Privacy
What data we collect, why, and how to remove it. In plain words.

What we collect
Terminal and Vort Institutional requests: your email address, when you ask for them. It reaches us through Resend and is used only to write to you about it; we neither pass it on to anyone else nor sell it.
Account: email, name (if you give one) and subscription plan. They are held on Supabase, on servers in the European Union, protected by access rules under which each user sees only their own data.
Visits: the site uses no analytics and no profiling cookies. It is hosted on Vercel, whose servers receive what every web server needs to deliver a page, such as your IP address. The cookies we set are technical: they keep you signed in and remember choices such as the theme.
Prices: the stock quotes come from Finnhub and the index levels in the newsletter from Yahoo Finance, but our servers fetch them. Your browser contacts no market-data provider, and we pass them none of your data.
What we don’t do
No advertising, no profiling, no reselling of data. We never see your password: the authentication system keeps it in encrypted form.
Payments: the Vort+ subscription is handled by Stripe, which processes the data as data processor on our behalf. Your card number is entered on Stripe’s pages and never passes through our servers: all we keep about you is a customer ID and the status of your subscription, which are needed to keep your access open and to let you cancel whenever you want.
Your rights
You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time from the unsubscribe page (ten seconds, really). To delete your account or request a copy of your data, write to research@vortresearch.com: we reply within a few days.
